Restaurant La Colombe

A legendary fine dining restaurant in Constantia, consistently ranked as one of Cape Town's most well-loved and awarded restaurants. La Colombe has been named Best Restaurant in Africa by The World's 50 Best, a testament to decades of excellence. Executive chef James Gaag leads the kitchen with a simple philosophy: "Food is our theatre. We hope you enjoy the show."

The tasting journey includes Silvermist Vegetable Garden, Herb Garden Extraction, Smoked Tomato Buenelo, Garden Tartlet, and Wild Boar Snacks. Seafood courses feature Tuna 'La Colombe' with caviar and nahm jim, or Namibian Red Crab with tamarind curry. Meat courses include Coal Fired Lamb with broccoli and smoked neck. Dessert brings Spring Strawberries with matcha and lemon verbena.

The setting is equally memorable: nestled against the slopes of Constantia, with views of the lush Silvermist grounds. Regulars describe it simply: "Whenever I need cheering up, the last meal before I leave town, the first when I return—always La Colombe. Simply, sublimely, superbly the best."
