John Norris-Rogers
PIER
John Norris-Rogers is Head Chef at PIER, the La Colombe Group's fine dining restaurant at the V&A Waterfront. A Silwood School of Cookery graduate (2013), he began at La Colombe under Scot Kirton and James Gaag. After time as a private chef in France, he returned as Sous Chef, then opened La Petite Colombe as Head Chef in 2017. In December 2021, he led the opening of PIER, crafting "an ode to the ocean" menus blending classical French techniques with local flair. PIER earned Three Stars at the Eat Out Awards for two consecutive years and South Africa's Best Restaurant at the 2023 World Culinary Awards.
