Restaurant MERTIA
An elevated dining experience in the heart of Stellenbosch, named after owner Marais Kirsten-Uys's grandmother, who taught him that anything worth doing is worth doing well. MERTIA is the culmination of a lifelong dream, brought to life by Marais and chef Matt van den Berg, whose flair for elevated dining is informed by fresh, local ingredients. Crossing the antique gracht from De Wet Square, you leave the hustle behind and surrender to an ever-evolving experience of celebrating being together.
Restaurant is serving tasting menu. The menu has deep roots in cooking with local flavours and organic produce, with a nod to South African heritage.
