Amori Burger

Chef Amori Burger is Executive Chef at Upper Union Restaurant in Cape Town, part of The MORE Family Collection. Her cooking style comes from her love of hosting Sunday lunches at home — creating simple, beautiful moments where people connect around good food and wine. Inspired by the women in her family, she started making sandwiches as a child, perfecting every bite. Today, her bold, vibrant cooking features interesting spice combinations, chilli, and acidity. A Silwood School of Cookery graduate, she previously ran kitchens at Lion Sands and opened her own restaurant, Van der Linde, before joining MORE Family Collection in 2021. Upper Union opened in 2022.
