Teenola Govender
Mazza at LOCAL and COY
Born and raised in Durban, Teenola discovered her love for food in her childhood home, inspired by her mother. She trained at Silwood School of Cookery, earning her Grande Diploma and completing her third year at The Test Kitchen under Ivor Jones and Ryan Cole. She later earned a Postgraduate Diploma in Entrepreneurship at UCT. In 2018, she joined Chefs Warehouse Beau Constantia, where she met her future co-head chef Geoffrey Abrahams. Together, they opened Mazza at LOCAL, and in 2024, they opened COY alongside Ryan Cole.
